Blueprint Energy team is thrilled to share the exciting news that our consortium has secured a groundbreaking Coordination and Support Action (CSA) project, "Enabling the Internet of Energy and Optimized Transport through Cross-Border Digital Platforms" - the BEGONIA Project, with an impressive total budget of 4 million Euros! 🚀
The journey commenced with the kick-off meetings on January 22nd and 23rd at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where seven partners from five European countries (Denmark, Spain, Greece, Belgium, and Austria) gathered to lay the foundation for this transformative initiative.
BEGONIA serves as foundation pilot for upcoming work programs, with the EU projecting co-investments of up to 40 million Euros in future programs. At its core, project aims to revolutionize the energy and transport sectors through the design and development of cross-border Operational Digital Platforms (ODPs) - leveraging #EnergyDataSpaces. By harnessing European data, cloud, edge computing, and connectivity infrastructures, our objective is to enhance interoperability and standardization across borders, thereby accelerating the digital transformation.
Our consortium is set to identify cross-border use cases from 10 European countries, conduct feasibility studies, establish regulatory and technical frameworks, and pilot a couple of use cases. Beyond technological advancement, this project underscores a commitment to creating a sustainable future and stimulating the digital economy, paving the way for new employment opportunities.
